Why Kalikho Costs What It Does
We’re not interested in hype or huge markups. We’re building something slower, smaller, and more meaningful — a label that respects both the planet and the people who wear it.
Made to Order
Each piece is crafted only when you order it. That means no excess stock, no landfill-bound leftovers, and no overproduction — just clothes with purpose.
Recycled Materials
All Kalikho garments are made from recycled polyester (rPET), derived from 12–19 plastic bottles per piece. These bottles are cleaned, broken down into pellets, and spun into high-quality yarn — creating soft, durable clothing with a smaller footprint.
Ethical & Transparent Production
We only work with certified suppliers who meet high standards for ethics, sustainability, and social responsibility. Sublimation printing allows us to produce detailed designs without the water waste and chemical runoff of traditional textile processes.
No Inflated Markups
Unlike traditional retail, we don’t multiply our prices just to meet marketing overheads or wholesale expectations. The graph below compares a typical industry markup to ours — a quiet rebellion against fast fashion economics.
Giving Back to Cats
Even at this early stage, at least 10% of profits are donated to support local cat welfare initiatives here in Mexico. That includes food, vet care, and sterilization programs for stray cats — especially those living around Sayulita and Bucerías.
This isn’t just a brand built on cat prints.
It’s a celebration of the people who move through the world a little differently — and make it more interesting.
